MIIMOO’s difficult move toward physical AI.

Software speed alone does not make an everyday object. What we are changing as we bring hardware and AI closer together.

MIIMOO’s difficult move toward physical AI.

MIIMOO is moving toward becoming a company focused on physical AI. The phrase is short; changing how we work is harder. There is still a distance between software that runs and an object that fits usefully into everyday life.

An answer on a screen is not the whole experience

Even a useful AI response needs a clear place, a way to be noticed and an understandable next action. Hardware adds further conditions: form, materials, structure, power and assembly. These cannot be solved through a screen alone.

The rhythm of iteration changes

What can be updated quickly in software may be difficult to change in a physical object. We are rethinking what to test first and what to validate before committing to it. Appearance, mechanism and the situation of use have to be considered together.

Give the term a practical meaning

For us, physical AI means creating an interface between information, context and human action. It requires the usability of an object and the continuing improvement of its software to be designed together.

A transition still in progress

This is ongoing work. We are revisiting what does not yet work and turning the ideas into products one step at a time. Through projects including Pinmoo and HomePlay, we are learning what AI needs in order to become an everyday tool.
